Luxury Hybrid Are Hybrid Vehicles Overrated???

Are hybrid vehicles overrated??? - luxury hybrid

Ok so it is a question that I wonder about ..... Feel free to correct / suggest anything you think you would be wrong ...... Ok ... Save My understanding is thinking of most hybrids, fuel by the sheer performance in whole or in part, during the transition at a certain speed (Prius goes to full power if you are under 30 mph I go). Other than that ...... If this limit be exceeded that speed .... works exclusively on gas .... like a car "normally" .......... Right? Well, I do not know about you ..... But almost everyone travels on the road with a speed of 40 mph and beyond what ..... Which brings me to the conclusion that hybrids do not save me any gas ... .. I actually lose money b / c they cost more than non-hybrid ..... Hybrid in assuming that the best drivers for the city or PPL prominent in the case of many-and-go traffic than the unit lol under 10 mph

But I think it could go wrong .... Consumers in focus on reports and say that (for example), a Honda Civic Hybrid are 40 city / 45 highway ...... The Prius is the reverse ..... . MSP and the Camry Hybrid is better on the road ...... ok i dont GEHow does this ...... Please explain ..... With a view to quickly buy a car, but I do not know whether a fuel-efficient non-hybrid or a hybrid .... must

Oh, I heard the hybrids more expensive to obtain ..... True or false?
and give me only the best hybrid ..... under $ 30K ..... I do not need to hear about hybrid luxury ..... lol.

One more thing ....... This is just for me, in which car, which saves me more money in the long term to know ...... I do not care if it is hybrid or not ..... Hybrids. I mean, I dont give a **** about the environment ...... This is just to save money ...... I just wanted to ...... clear (and if you answer an environmentalist --- not the trouble that question --- unless you only talk about how you can save $$$). Thank you.

  1. If you only drive a car and save money, is better for you to buy a smaller car (like a Honda Fit or a smart fortwo), rather than a hybrid. the most important issue with hybrids is their maintenance - What happens when the big battery fails? How much does it cost?

However, save money on fuel and is environmentally friendly in its size, the Prius is supposed to be in the same class as the Camry in terms of interior space. Even if the gasoline engine runs at highway speeds, is simply to help the electric motor. That, until the engine is running out, when does the gasoline engine, to charge the batteries.

One can see that even when the battery is empty, or during the race on the highway, the gasoline engine in a hybrid is smaller than a comparable car - a Prius has a 1.5 liter engine, while a Camry has either one 3.5L or 2.4 liters and a Civic Hybrid has a standard 1.3L to 1.8L or 2.0L. Under the assumption that the unit of energy efficiency to save you a lot.

  2. Many hybrids are overrated and really not as good fuel economy than other hybrids. Situation, if you are interested in hybrids and want to buy his own plea of "Look at me, I am green" social and compare the actual mileage of other smaller hybrid cars like the Honda Fit, Toyota Yaris and Nissan Versa. You may be surprised by the results.

You can save money by car on a combination of factors, including fuel efficiency, reliability (in savings on maintenance and repairs), insurance costs and taxes (in states that have annual value tax).

  3. You're right in the fact that some hybrids are more efficient driving in the city. I am more familiar with the Toyota models. The brakes of these vehicles are really electric motors that generate electricity through the load-generation engine, which causes drag the Trainin thdrive whilchargingng car slowly. This vehicle is not as efficient at highway speeds because the engine is running thgasolinene mostly. I think from a professional standpoint, the Toyota Corolla is the best choice if you want to save a vehicle, the money on fuel and repair costs youscheduledemaintenancece only and you should have many years of reliable transportation. oh yeah do not need iluxuryry then a base model with fewer things to lesweightht and has condemned the potential for failure. I hope I was helpful.

  4. Well, you can gas distillation by a vehicle of 40 mpg or better is usually already. It comes in REAL handy stop-and-go is the most important requirement is known known for his versatility. The new wife of my friend drives a Prius and loves it. Driving is more roads, but it was still 45-50 mpg.

For what will it cost? The big problem is that nobody really knows how to drop the replacement battery packs. So, if a fee of $ 2000 or more, plus the cost of the car .... So in fact you save money? Probably not. "It saves a lot of gasoline?" Yes, yes. So, if you care enough about the environment, pay for one of these, then it is worth. If you are only interested in their pocket, you can add a little cylinder of 3 m or similar car purchase and get 50 mpg, but at a much lower cost. or the new Mercedes Smart Fortwo. Only $ 18-22K, at a reasonable price, and you can be more than 50 mpg highway. I saw the Fortwo is a lively little car, bought two colleagues recently, the very (for two) are spacious, Peppy sOr they say, and very economical. almost a year wait to get one too, though.

So there it is. Your choice.

  5. "Just saving my money"

what do people really more "green" issues of environment zone. Just a thought ...

Maintain and yes, a little more expensive hybrids. BMPs, such as road, speeding vehicles consume more energy, making it a lot in the city. Once at speed on the highway, you do not really need to change much on the speed. unless you live in the city and meet conditions that will find themselves working partially on electricity alone, a turbo-diesel (also known as the TDI engines. forever, and also get 40 + MPG. and I know that diesel more expensive than gasoline, but is offset by the high MPG, lower maintenance costs and the fact that they are not as expensive as a hybrid. You will find many of Use TDi VW and $ 10-20k and 02 instead. Jetta and New Beetle seems to be the most
